Whiskyface

I have decided that there are three things that I should be into that I am not currently into [in no particular order]: whisky, records and comics.

I have bought a couple of comic books, and a bottle of whisky, but so far a record player has eluded me. You see, I’m not sure whether to go all out and buy a really expensive one, that will produce such a perfect aural experience I will weep every time I listen to ‘In Rainbows’, or a cheapo thing that means I can buy more actual records, but not weep. I need readers advice…

My next issue is that I might not, as it turns out, like whisky. I bought a bottle of Talisker 10 year old single malt, and it is delicious. Or rather I imagine that it is delicious, but currently to me it tastes like bleach, albeit a lovely mature and spicy bleach with a smokey aroma. I suppose it is an aquired taste, and I would very much like to aquire it, but right now it seems like a chore to drink. I perhaps should try a mixer, like soda water, tonic or Irn Bru [whisky and Irn Bru is possiby the most scottish drink there is], but purists might scoff at that idea.

The comic book collection is going better: I bought two comics for my first dabble - one high brow one about global news and its effect on the world, and one about zombies eating people’s knees. Guess which one i liked best. As a slight offshoot to my burgoning collection of comics, I may start collecting Calvin and Hobbs books too.

Now, get back to work.
